The Whitney Museum of American Art: Order and Ornament: Roy Lichtenstein’s Entablatures
American pop artist Roy Lichtenstein (1923-1997) is famous for the cartoon-like images he created in the 1960s. In a departure from his more well-known works, this exhibit focuses on a series he created in the 1970s, which was inspired by the stunning facades of buildings found throughout lower Manhattan.

The Museum of Modern Art: Private Lives, Public Spaces
In the 1920s, when small-gauge film stock became widely available, home movie making was suddenly affordable for the masses. Around the world, ordinary people began recording their daily lives — long before the camera phone made the practice a common aspect of everyday life. In this exhibit, 100 screens will showcase unseen, homemade videos dating from 1907 until the 1990s.
